In most existing data networks, computers communicate with each other through the shared links of the LAN Backbone, which may include the Internet.
The BigBangwidth Lightpath Accelerator System adds an alternate Lightpath layer, where links are never shared so performance is guaranteed and private communication is much more likely.
The Lightpath Accelerator System automatically moves traffic from the LAN (blue) to a dedicated Lightpath (red), which has much better performance and security.
