BigBangwidth Lightpath Directors, such as the LPA306 and the LPA816e, are ideal for remote control of Advanced Network Lightpaths.
- Lightpath Directors can be manually controlled using a telnet session
- Remote automated control can be driven from a script
- A C-callable API is available for more complex programmatic control
- or use BigBangwidth's Domain Manager software to manage a network of Lightpath Directors, including routing.
Use a stand-alone Lightpath Director when:
- you need to manage fiber or lightpath connections in a distant location
- you need to automate switching functions, such as automated physical-layer failover
- your equipment is difficult to access, such as in a co-located facility
